100-vehicle pileup shuts down I-39 in Illinois | CNN



A 30-mile stretch of freeway in Illinois was closed Thursday after over 100 automobiles have been concerned in a number of crashes.

Interstate 39 southbound from Regular to Minonk shall be closed for about 12 hours because of the pileup, Illinois State Police tweeted Thursday.

Regular Illinois is a part of the Bloomington metropolitan space. Minonk is about 28 miles north of Regular.
